Water level in app is is not accurate. What do I do?

If you think the water level viewer is not accurate, ensure the cable is fully unwound from the bottom of the base and tucked in. Please also follow the below steps to recalibrate:

  1. Select the box that says “water” on the kettles home page
  2. Select “calibrate”
  3. A pop up will appear asking you to remove the kettle body from the base
  4. Then select “calibrate”

The base will re-calibrate

If you are still having issues with the water level, please try the following:

  1. Remove the kettle body and turn the base over
  2. There is a large black button(not an actual button but it registers the water level)
  3. Gently press this a few times then re-calibrate the water the water level

Please do not press this too hard

Went through these steps but kettle concisely reports "half" when water is to the max.

    What else can I try?

The water level feature is useless. As I type this, the app tells me I have 1300 to 1800ml of water. That's a 500ml variance, which is 2 cups. This kettle looks to be well made and is a great looking appliance. But if you are going to remove the old fashioned glass window for checking the level, then you should do it correctly. It should be the easiest thing to get correct, mass can be directly correlated to volume. I feel this serious omission of functionality let's the whole device down.
