Can I use my Smarter Coffee - 2nd Generation with IFTTT?

Yes you can!

You can connect your IFTTT account to your Smarter account and start creating applets with your Smarter Coffee - 2nd Generation!

All you need to do is search Smarter on the IFTTT website, select the Smarter service, click the big connect button, log into your Smarter account and that's you connected!

You can also connect in the Smarter app by going into network settings, works with IFTTT and connect to your IFTTT account.

Now you can start creating IFTTT applets with your Smarter Coffee - 2nd Generation!

There are no Network Settings in the menu.  You need to sort out your support!

    Hello Benjamin,

We are sorry to hear you are having trouble connecting your Smarter Coffee - 2nd Generation to IFTTT!

If you select the network you have created and connected your Smarter Coffee too, there is a cog top right of the screen, select this and this will take you to Network Settings. :)

Can you please get in touch with Smarter Support at support@smarter.am explaining the issue you are having so we can advise on a solution to get you up and running with IFTTT. :)

    Best wishes,

    Emma

    Hi.
Got 2.gen Smarter Coffee yesterday. It makes great coffee! The app works fine, but I can not get it working with Google home. I add it in home app and link the account, but it does not appear as a device. If I try using ifttt the applet states "options unavailable" under Coffee Maker. I have tried ifttt from smarter app, and from the ifttt app. Account appears as active, but no coffee maker appears. Please help me. I live in Norway, hope it is not a regional issue?

Hi, I have exactly the same problem than Harald with IFTTT showing "options unavailable" under Coffee Maker. And the same for Google Home device list, even it says briefly "linked to ..".

I'm located in Finland, but using UK version with UK language setting. Otherwise the Home, IFTTT and Smarter Coffee maker works fine. Just cant get Google assistant to brew my coffee using IFTTT :(

    Hi Tommi.

Ray at Smarter support helped me out. Ray is great, he really should get a raise.

It turned out I had accidently set up two accounts. One logged with email and password. The other with the service "log in with Google".

Ray deleted all my accounts, and I signed up on again with email and password. He had to do it twice because I was still "logged in by Google" on ifttt and Smarter app. I deleted the apps, and after Ray's second wipe, I set up as mentioned above.

That worked. The coffee machine registered as device when added in home app, and in the ifttt applet.

Remember in ifft-applets. No capital letters, no punctuation.

    Best of luck!

    Harald.

And... Remember home app, and ifttt app must be registered to be in the same time zone. :)

    Hi guys,

Experiencing the same issue, it's linking to Google but not showing any device.

Guess I'll go straight to support :)
