Can my iKettle 3rd Generation work with Google Assistant/ Google Home?

Now you can ask Google Home or Google Assistant to turn on your iKettle.

To set up please follow these steps:

  1. Go to settings in the Google Assistant app
  2. Select Home control
  3. Select the “+” icon to see all the Google services
  4. Find the Smarter Kettle
  5. Google will now ask you to log into your Smarter account
  6. Enter your details and Google will now add your iKettle to your Home control device!

You can now boil your kettle by asking your Google Home or Google Assistant on your phone!

With the service, you control your kettle with the name you gave it in the Smarter app.

If you called the kettle ‘kettle’, you can do this:

“Ok Google, turn on the kettle”

“Ok Google, turn off the kettle”

“Ok Google, set the kettle temperature to 70 degrees”

Watch the temperature dial change in the Smarter app.

“Ok Google, turn up the kettle temperature by 10 degrees”

Watch the set temperature change in the Smarter app.

“Ok Google, turn down the kettle temperature by 10 degrees”

Watch the set temperature change in the Smarter app.

“Ok Google, what is the temperature of the kettle?”

Google will tell you the set temperature and the live temperature of the kettle

    This integration stopped working. this works fine with the Smarter account app but when we try to add it to our Google Home account, the kettle just shows as offline and we cannot get this to connect. So I deleted it and re-setup kettle on wifi and google home. wifi and the apps works fine but, when reconnecting to goggle assistant, shows connected when linking and signing into the smarter account but then does not show up in the list of linked services, this only stopped working less than a week ago

    Mine has stopped authenticating with Google Home Assistant as well.

    Same here, my smarter iKettle and Smarter Coffee machine cannot be controlled by Google Home or assistant anymore. it was still possible some days ago

    Same here, works but not with Google home. Can someone at Smarter let us know what is happening/when this might be fixed please?

    Same here. Could reconnect to the app but can no longer add the device to Google Home....

    I was able to successfully add my iKettle to Google Home. Commands are not as stable as before the bug, but I am able to query On my kettle for the time.
    Keep up the great work, developers. We're rooting for you!

    I can also confirm that adding the kettle back into Google Home works flawlessly now.🫶🏻
