My Smarter Coffee machine is no longer connected to Google assistant?

Google have recently made a change to how Smarter appliances are listed within Google Assistant, so you will need to re-link your device to get this to work.

To do this, please follow the instructions below:

1. Go to Google assistant settings

2. Click on home control

3. Click on manage accounts at the top right of the screen

4. Press Smarter kettle and coffee and unlike your account

5. Search for Smarter and log in using Smarter account details

This will now have re-linked your account correctly and you can continue to use Google assistant to control your iKettle or Coffee machine.

Any updates on this. Today I unlinked my account and now I can't even login to link it back to Google.
    3 options. Facebook Twitter. Email.
Facebook does not woek and not supported. So used email. And all I get is thanks for linking your kettle message. Noting happens. No ok button no moving to a new screen noting. All I can do is press back which undoes what I did. Useless so now my kettle is only smart with the smart app it comes with. What do you recommend. Need a fix on this

This is happeing on the kettle also. Seems to be non related to 1 of the smarter products. If this is not fixed in the new year I will go to another brand who will fix the problems when customers say they don't work. Some have been waiting months for a reply and still no fix. That's not on

I can confirm it's now working again. I can now link my Smarter account properly in the Google Home app.

    Great job by the developers!

I have exactly the same problem, I've noticed it since the new year. I can boil the kettle by picking up my phone and using the App. But in Google with the Assistant it's stopped working. For 4 years or so it's been superb, but now.... I have tried same steps as Chloe above, get a "your account now linked" from the smarter website after putting my email password in, but nothing happens and nowhere to go with it.

    So frustrating. Please fix it.

1 smarter machine up for grabs no longer wanted.

Selling due to its no longer smart.
And customer services have left the planet on exploration to seek intelligent life to help make the machine smart again. Unfortunaly they have been abducted by a strange life form and never to be seen again.

If interested please reply with the words. "Smarter can do better"

Smarter I'm out of here, your lack of response to your customers and lack of response to fix your problems is terrible.

I will now seek a smarter product that does do what it says on the box.

    Bad smarter.

This is not working at all. The sign in process just stops at "Thank you for linking your Smarter account with Google". The device or account is not showing up in Google home.

This has been working for the last 18 months. How did you manage to break it?!

I have the same issue. Kettle worked great with Google Home for last 3 years. Came back from holidays yesterday and it shows offline.

Tried unlinking and relinking device and nothing happens. Linking process is frozen on "successfully linked" website, but kettle does not show up in Google Home app

Lots of new comments on here. You may as well tell the cat. They rarely respond and when they do, it's not with a fix. I've been in limbo with this for two years now.

Even after following these instructions, my machine still shows as "not responding" in Google Home.

I have the same problem. It used to work but now google assistant doesn’t. I tried the fix suggested There is no link to Smarter so I can’t remove it. I try to delink it and it says it has but Snarter is not appearing in the list of linked devices. Apparently this is an ongoing issue. Smarter is apparently not smart

Still not working. Unlinked, linked again, assigned to the kitchen but shows as offline in the "home" app.

Asking Google to make me a coffee was the only thing that set it apart from a dumb coffee machine

I've been told "it's fixed now" several times. It isn't. I even tried unlinking all my devices and starting again with a new account - same issue. It's still broken. Very frustrating.

My Smarter Coffee 2nd generation is still offline in Google Home after trying to unlink and relink the account multiple times. Is there any plan to fix it? I opened a ticket for it but its been almost a month without any reply there

Mine hasn't been working for the past few months, and I've tried the above many times. Is there a fix for this yet?
